New Strategy Wheel to Win webMillion
by Robert Perkis / Lotto-Logix

The webMillion.com game has changed. If you play the game you may have noticed they had a three million dollar jackpot winner, something I take it came as a total surprise. After all, at odds of almost a U.S. billion to one, they couldn't have expected a winner so soon.

As a result of having a winner, webMillion.com battened down the hatches withdrawing all the ways to earn additional lottery tickets except for the Extravaganza Survey. They also changed the prize structure, so two numbers correct no longer pays with a additional ticket per day for the next seven days, nor do three and four numbers correct pay off with an additional ten tickets per day.

The top prize remains $3 million for six numbers correct, the five number second prize is now a vacation like you would win for visiting a travel site, and the four number third prize is now a free play for seven days against the next draw, what we used to get for two numbers correct.

The previous goal was to get as many two number correct wins as possible and it worked, many of us were playing 300+ tickets per week, that plan will remain up in case webMillion.com opens things up again.

The new goal is to take the long shot for the top prize, for which we now have Plan-B. http://www.lotto-logix.com/Plan-B.zip is a new wheel made up of smaller wheels that can win the remaining prizes if the numbers fall right. What can I say, you can't do a lot with only 70 out of a billion combinations, not even with the 100 to 125 we can use if the Extravaganza Survey pays off. So far the Extravaganza will add (30) five extra tickets per day for answering five questions on Monday the second day of the lottery and sometimes has a second set of questions that can be answered on Tuesday for 25 more tickets.

Plan-B.zip has 150 combinations ranked by their contribution to the wheel, so even if you only play 70 of the 150 combinations, you are playing the best. Simply download and unzip a copy of CoverMaster (from our page on making your own wheels) and Plan-B to the same directory such as CM552 and start up CoverMaster and [Open] Plan-B, the place holder pointer number combinations will appear. Just click on [Randomize] and [Print] out the 150 combinations, take them to http://www.webmillion.com/members/join1.html?referer=100473 and play them in the $3 million dollar lottery. RP

Plan-C is simply to use Windows Lotto Pro and run off 70 or more Smart Picks after making and updating a winMillion data base. If you save your combination run you can see how well it does at getting 2, 3 and 4 numbers right (what webMillion used to give prizes for) so you know you'd be doing well if the game were still fair. Of course getting 5 or 6 numbers right is a reach, but there is still 70 shots at getting lucky. The trick is to update your data base on the day in the middle of the game week when they post the new data so at least 30 to 40 of your smart picks are based on current information, sort of a leap-frog method of play.

Well it's about time. I'll wager you're wondering what took me so long to get this strategy upgrade in place? First I had to figure out what was wrong with the previous strategy and then I had to develop a new one, create the perfect wheel for it and test it, not easy when it takes a week or more to make a 6/94 wheel.

If you're new to this strategy or the changes at webMillion, here's what you should know.

webMillion is the most exciting of the free lotto games with the best prize structure and playing system. The grand prize jackpot is 3 million dollars and an extra 1 million is paid to the person who refers the winner at no cost to the winner. So if you refer your aunt Mabel and she wins, you win. None of that mlm nonsense, the winner and the referrer get paid.

The second prize for five numbers is pretty good for a free online game, the $500.00 can buy a nice holiday weekend. Third prize for four numbers is only $5.00, better than the $1.00 some games pay. Again, if you refer your aunt Mabel and she wins $500. or $5.00 you win $250. or $5.00 too.

Forth prize for three numbers correct is interesting because you win ten extra entries per day, seventy for the week, (four numbers correct also pays this as well as the $5.00 but you don't get the extra tickets if aunt Mabel wins). Fifth prize is one extra entry per day up, seven per week. Game totals to a max of fifty entries per day, 350 per week.

Previously the only other way to gain additional tickets was to play the Click-3 box game which rewarded one or two additional tickets per day until the next draw and put you into a drawing for a prize as well.

Now webMillion has improved your odds of winning by supporting six mini-games that can return one or two additional lotto tickets per day until the next draw. It is possible to win up to 336 additional tickets this way, but reality is 28 to 50 extra plays per week, though I have won over 100 free tickets several times. A correct hit on the first try returns two lotto tickets and three contest entries, a correct hit on the second try returns one lotto ticket and two contest entries, and a correct hit on the third try returns only a contest entry.

For example, each week you start with the 70 free tickets they give everyone, plus any free tickets won in the last game's drawing, plus whatever you win in the Click-3 and Scratch games.

The combination of comparably fast game play, good multiple prizes and a minimum of 70 entries (ten per day) to start each week would make this the ideal game, if it wasn't for . . .

The free game is a 6/94, that's 814 million to one odds a real killer if you had to pay for tickets. They also have a trick of holding the drawing Monday after closing the game Sunday, they don't release the numbers until sometime between Monday and Wednesday, so you have to work with a game history a week out of date when you make your combinations to play.

Even so, this is absolutely the best free lotto game to be playing among them all and the most like the real thing where the choices you make determine whether you win or lose.

The first thing you need to do, is to join webMillion so you can play and they know where to send the money. Go here . . .

http://www.webmillion.com/members/join1.html?referer=100473

If you don't want me to be your referrer you can backspace up to the .com and join as if you found the site on your own, it makes no difference in what you can win. You can do this with almost any program where you like the program, but do not want to reward the referrer. If you already belong to webMillion don't worry about it.

The next step is to get a history of the game for your lottery software. I've tested the history in Lottery Director and Gail Howard and both handled 94 numbers as did my very old copy of Windows Lotto Pro. Other programs you'll just have to try and see, one said it would do up to 99, but wouldn't accept anything over 79 don't know what that was about. I don't have the latest version so I won't name that one.

You could play the Lotto-Logix webMillion wheel as it prints out, but you would have to share the jackpot with others also playing the place holder pointer numbers without swapping them for their own.

If you don't want to share and don't want to use the free lotto software you can use the randomizer in CoverMaster, just randomize, save as a different name such as the day's date and print with notepad.

I've been tracking the history, you can get past draw history here. . .

http://www.lotto-logix.com/wmhist.zip

you can open it with winzip and view/print it with notepad or CoverMaster. You can get the latest draw results from the webMillion site.

HINT: webMillion plays better on msn than netscape.

If the excessive number of pop-up ads on webMillion annoy you go here and get a free copy of POW.exe the pop-up killer which will prevent pop-ups you've reviewed and selected from appearing again. Please read the simple instructions so you will know how to tell POW to close the pop-ups and not your browser window.

If you need a lotto program with the webMillion wheel ready to run click here...

http://www.lotto-logix.com/LLLC.zip

On your "C:" drive make the directory "LLLC" and unzip the lotto program to that directory, click the pff or exe to run.

Otherwise . . .

The third step is to get a free copy of CoverMaster, this is mainly because most lottery software, even ones that will take a 6/94 game history won't wheel all 94 numbers. I've done it and CoverMaster will make it simple to put your lottery software's numbers on my webMillion wheel. If you don't have any lottery software you can also use CoverMaster to randomize the numbers without disturbing the wheel's cover matrix.

For a free copy of CoverMaster go here . . .

http://www.sianotts.demon.co.uk

You might want to grab a copy of the doc file too.

For a free copy of Lotto-Logix's webMillions wheel go here...

http://www.lotto-logix.com/wm350.zip

This will sound worse then it is to do, so print out a copy and keep it handy. Make a directory like CM552 and put everything in there. Use winzip or any of the free unzipping software out there (ez-zip) to open the archives and extract everything to the same CM552 directory.

Enter the webMillion game history into your favorite lottery software.

Open CoverMaster and click on [File] then [Open] go to the CM552 directory and click on wm350.txt the wheel should appear in the CoverMaster Grid. On a slow machine this can take a few seconds, on mine 100 of the combinations appeared first and a few seconds later all 350, don't try to do anything while this loads.

Now click on [Configure] and when the box opens put your cursor over [Own Numbers] then move it over [Set] and click on [Replace] a column box should open. Type in your very best number pick opposite number one and press [Enter] continue for all 94 numbers in the order your lottery software predicted them from better to worse.

After entering the final number [Enter] click on [Configure] [Own Numbers] [Set] [Display] you will see your numbers replace my place-holder pointer numbers on the grid. Now back to [File] and [Save] as wm03212001.txt (wm=webmillion and the date) use notepad to print the saved file.

Fair warning: This is a huge wheel, you might be tempted to use CoverMasters Quick Test to see what it covers. On a 333 MHZ Pentium II with 256megs of ram it can take over 8 hours to test this wheel, I suggest you do it overnight. You won't learn much from the test, because the wheel is built in layers of different strengths that would have to be independently tested to judge the whole.

If you're so smart what went wrong with the last strategy (I hear you ask:-)?

Classic lottery wheel building for the tightest cover is generally made by using two or more smaller wheels to make one larger split wheel. A 3if3 and a 3if4 wheel combine to make one 3if6 wheel because six numbers would have to fall 3 into the 3if3 or automatically 4 would fall into the 3if4.

I used two 2if2 wheels and a 2if4 wheel to make a 2if6 wheel. I made these in ever increasing multi-prize strengths and layered them like bricks to cover alternative possible draw outcomes.

This worked exactly as they were supposed to for returning minimum prizes. The failure was the bad luck to never have more than two to four numbers fall into any compartment. This also happens in other split wheels I've discovered, they make it impossible to win a jackpot because all the numbers rarely if ever all fall into one half or the other.

How does the new wheel work?

Check out what Lotto-Logix.com can do with 94 numbers in 350 combinations. . .

The New Lotto-Logix webMillion Wheel:

After much testing, I finally settled on a rather straight forward wheel build with step guarantees and nothing to get in the way of winning a jackpot.

When the first 70 combinations have been played you have a 100% guarantee of winning one free ticket per day for the next drawing (2if6in94n70c). There is also a 95% chance of 2if5 and an 85% chance of 2if4, so several tickets are likely.

When the first 120 combinations have been played you have covered 100% 2if6, 99% 2if5, 95% 2if4 and 85% 2if3.

When the first 160 combinations have been played you have covered 100% 2if6, 100% 2if5, 99% 2if4 and 90% 2if3.

When the first 270 combinations have been played you have covered 100% 2if6, 100% 2if5, 100% 2if4, 99% 2if3 and 85% 2if2.

When the entire 350 combinations have been played you have covered 100% 2if6, 100% 2if5, 100% 2if4, 100% 2if3, 98% 2if2 and 68% 3if6.

Because we put all 94 numbers into play right from the start, you will always have all six of the winning numbers, this means . . .

2if6 Guarantees at least one additional ticket per day.

2if5 Guarantees at least two additional tickets per day.

2if4 Guarantees at least six additional tickets per day.

2if3 Guarantees at least ten additional tickets per day.

2if2 Guarantees at least fifteen additional tickets per day.

Of course this is only the minimum, the least that can occur, what must happen. You can do much better, in fact you will do better an average of every other time you play around 300 tickets by winning a 3# ticket worth ten additional tickets per day plus the above.

This translates to good chance to win a fair number of tickets (10-20)extra per day for the week, plus a better than 50/50 chance of a three number win worth ten additional tickets per day. When this is added to the original seventy, plus what you pick up from the Click-3 and Scratch Games to give you lots of chances to win this thing. The more tickets you play the better your odds of winning.

If you're not playing webMillion Lotto, you should be!

Good luck to you. Robert Perkis / Lotto-Logix
