Power Trails Excel Program Instructions The following Excel program is based on BobP's Power Trails. http://www.lotto-logix.com/txthouse/pwrtrails.html 1. Create a new folder and name it whatever you wish. My folder is called P3 Poer Trails. 2. Unzip the 2 Excel files into your new folder. You should have 2 Excel files: P3Drawings.xls and Workouts.xls ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The "P3Drawings.xls" Excel file contains all the Pick 3 states drawings updated to include Monday November 13, 2006 Midday and Evening Drawings. There are Tabs for Midday, Evening, and Combined Midday and Evening for those states that have a Midday and Evening drawing. These are in alphabetical order. Midday, Evening, then Combined. Each of the drawing tabs are labeled with each states abbreviation. You will NOT need to update each tab. Click the Tab labeled "P3Results" Cell range B5 through D47 contain the list of all the states P3 Midday and Evening Drawings. Cell range H5 through I47 contain the dates of the last drawn Pick 3 combination for that state. Scroll over to Cell range column M through N. This is where you enter the Midday Drawings for those states that have them in this column for "Monday through Friday". You will notice a cell that is "blacked out" will not have a drawing. To add new drawings for Tuesday November 14, 2006 Midday for example, this is what I do. Go to http://www.lotterypost.com/lottery-results-daily.asp. When the web page opens select the following: a. Show United States and Canada b. Combine Illinois and Iowa Results Make sure you have the correct date from the calendar at the top right corner and at the top of the Web page. Once all the Midday states have drawn I usually enter all these at one time. So go to cell N6 and enter California's Midday Pick 3 combination. You should have noticed that Arizona is "blacked out" because Arizona does not have a Midday drawing. The states are listed in the same sequence as on the Lotterpost results page so it makes it easy to enter the drawings. Once all the drawings are entered for Midday scroll to the top and click the Toolbar labeled "Click To Add Dates". By clicking this Toolbar it will add a new date for all the Midday States tabs. Once all the dates are entered click the Toolbar labeled "Click To Add Midday Drawings". By clicking this Toolbar the program will add all the Pick 3 draws to each of the Midday States Tabs. Scroll over to Cell column C5 through C47. You should now see the new drawings and also in cell column H5 through H47 you will see the new date. The last thing I do is verify that all the Pick 3 drawings are correct by looking at the Lotterypost results page and the Cell column C5 through C47. If you make a mistake you can go to that states Tab and make the correction or re-enter the correct drawing back in corresponding states cell in columns N5 through N47. Then click the Toolbar "Click To Add Midday Drawings". This will correct any errors. The key things to remember are to enter the correct drawings in the corresponding cell range according to the Day and Draw (midday/Evening). A good suggestion is to make a backup copy of the original Excel file "P3Drawings.xls" in the event you see any errors. The final note about this Excel file is that you will need to enter Puerto Rico's Pick 3 results in manually. Puerto Rico has drawings on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Evening only. To add a new drawing, just scroll over to the Tab labeled PR3E. Click this Tab and you will see a Toolbar in Cell A1 labeled "Click To Add New Drawing". Click this Toolbar and this will enter a new line and date starting in cell line "20". Just enter the Pick 3 drawing for Puerto Rico for the corresponding date. Make sure you SAVE your work!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You should have Open the Excel file "P3Drawings.xls" if you closed it Open this Excel file. While you have Excel file "P3Drawings.xls" open at eh Main Menu bar select: File>Open>Go to the folder you placed the second Excel file "Workouts.xls" and Open this Excel file. You should now have 2 Excel files opened at the same time. 1. P3Drawings.xls and 2. Workouts.xls You should have the Excel file "Workouts.xls" as the active file or the file we want to use. Click the 1st Tab labeled "P3Toolbars" This Tab lists all the Toolbars for each states States Pick 3 Midday, Evenigng, and Combined Drawings. In cell range M through AF is the Drawing Schedule for each state Monday through Sunday. This is an example of how to use this program. You should still be in the Tab "P3Toolbars" (Workouts.xls). Go to Cell G7 and Click the Toolbar labeled "AZ3 Evening" By clicking this Toolbar it will copy a range of past drawings from the Excel file "P3Drawings.xls"> AZ3E Tab and place it in the Tab labeled "Pick3" in the "Workouts.xls" In cell A15 you should see "Arizona Evening". You should now have the most recent drawings in Cell Range A20 through E200. Go to Cell A3:A7 you will see a Toolbar labeled "Click All Toolbars". Click this Toolbar once. Once it is finished you can now go to the next Tab labeled: "Totals" This Tab "Totals" is a list of all the combinatons based on Power Trails. Cell columns Range C3 through U-3 are the number of drawings. Cell Column A contains the "A-B-C" order of the Power Trail combination. Notice the "HOT" and "COLD" in Column "A". The "HOT" represent the order of digits. The "HOTTEST" Digits The "COLDEST" = reverse order of the "HOTTEST" Click the Tab labeled "PowerTrails7Days". Look at Cell Range Column "Q1:Q10 and "R1:R10". This is the list of digits based on "7 Days" or 7 drawings. You will see a "HOT" (TOP) and "COLD" (COLD) Line 19. I also added a Tab labeled "PowerTrailsCustom". You can add your own number in cell range R1 through R10. Once you enter your cutom digits in this range it will give you the combinations in column AC and Column AN. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
